Christina Boufis - Writer. Editor. Instructor.

Christina Boufis is a San Francisco Bay-Area freelance writer who specializes in health, career, education, parenting, and women’s issues. Her work has appeared in many of the top consumer magazines, where one of her essays, (in Glamour) was nominated for a national journalism award, The Heart of America.

Christina has an academic background – she holds a Ph.D. in Victorian literature and Women’s Studies – yet her first love is writing. She’s taught women prisoners at the San Francisco County Jail and master’s students at Stanford, where she is currently teaching a magazine writing course.

Christina lives with her husband, Scott Peterson, a food photographer, their six-year-old son Gus, and a handful of curious creatures.
